Baby Jedi Blog: T minus 6 days...

The big day is finally almost here. The official due date is May 5. We are ready - as ready as first-time parents can be. We got a lot of great gifts from work peeps, friends and family which we really appreciate. The baby room is ready to go. The swing, pack and play, glider, etc are all assembled (with love.) We do still need to buy some batteries though. All of the clothes and blankies are washed, car seats installed and the hospital bag is packed and loaded in the car.

The pregnancy has gone really well the last 39 weeks - aside from some painful leg cramps in the middle of the night and swollen feet the last few weeks. We still have some concerns with Jeannie's asthma during labor but hopefully her breathing will be okay. I'm sure the hospital will closely monitor it.

Jeannie plans on working up until the big day, then she's going to take 2 months off. I am going to take a week off when the baby comes. We will then have to put her in an in-home daycare since we will both be working.

For those of you who haven't heard, the baby's going to be a GIRL ! Her name will most likely be either Bella Rose or Sophia Elisabeth, unless Jeannie changes her mind again. My cool Star Wars names were sadly rejected immediately... Leia Organa or Mara Jade for example...

The force will still be strong with her.
